Dr. Julia Mamelak is a doctoral resident and registered psychological assistant specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and relationship difficulties. While Dr. Mamelak works with clients across the developmental lifespan, she has expertise in providing evidence-based therapies to adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Mamelak has extensive experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based therapies. Dr. Mamelak collaborates with each client to identify their goals and tailors her approach depending on the client’s individual needs.
Dr. Mamelak believes that the most important aspect of effective therapy is providing an environment where the client feels safe and understood. She is committed to providing this space for her clients, empowering them to enhance their inner potential, work through difficult and painful emotions, and live in the present moment with purpose and meaning.
