Benjamin Johnson, LICSW
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
I have been working with adults, adolescents and kids in the mental health field for five years. I enjoy helping my clients recognize and nurture their unique strengths through a client-centered approach.
I bring a calming and empathic approach to the work I do with clients. Beginning in the initial session, I seek to understand my clients specific needs and continually build the therapeutic relationship that is essential to facilitate meaningful change and progress. I utilize a range of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, family systems, and trauma-informed therapy.
I seek to adapt my approach to what I believe will be most impactful to our work together during our sessions. I have worked with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, work stress, trauma, challenging family dynamics, grief/loss, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I look forward to meeting with you wherever your current situation finds you, and working together to build a hopeful and impactful future.
