Elizabeth Levin, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Elizabeth Levin is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with individuals, couples, and families to process the aspects of life that contribute to their struggles while establishing a strong sense of identity. Coming from a multi-generational family that immigrated from the former Soviet Union, she is familiar with the various transitions that individuals may face in their life span.
Dr. Levin helps her clients, including adolescents, adults, and families, to work toward creating a healthy pattern of behaviours which allows them to reach their goals.
Dr. Levin earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University’s Northern Virginia campus. She worked with a wide range of clients during her internship year, completing court-ordered therapy in jails and homes, in addition to providing treatment at assisted-living facilities.
Following the completion of her degree, she pursued a specialty in eating disorders at The Renfrew Center of South Florida, where she stayed on as a primary therapist.
Dr. Levin’s areas of focus include body image issues, motivation for change, improving confidence, and reframing anxious or depressive thinking.
Dr. Levin believes that an integrative approach to therapy allows for more personalized treatment, and has training in a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Exposure Therapy for Anxiety Disorders, Schema Therapy, and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT).
