Ms. Aboras has extensive experience treating individuals with substance abuse/ addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and LGBTQ issues. Ms. Aboras uses an eclectic approach of evidence-based treatment modalities which include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectal behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory, and interpersonal-based sessions. Through a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
Ms. Aboras believes in assisting the client to gain insight into their thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle ultimately. Ms. Aboras received her Forensic Mental Health Counseling degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with an additional certification in Victimology studies.
