Ryoka Kim, Ph.D
Dr. Ryoka Kim is an Oregon Licensed Psychologist. She earned her doctorate from the Univ. of Minnesota, completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at McLaren Flint Hospital, and recently obtained a graduate certificate in Palliative Care through the Univ. of Washington. Dr. Kim is originally from Japan and provides services in both Japanese and English.
Dr. Kim works with adults on stress management associated with relationships, careers, existential anxiety, and serious illness. She specializes in addressing end-of-life concerns, including grief, caregiver stress, advance care planning, and family communication. Dr. Kim uses mindfulness-based approaches that cultivate self-awareness, intentionality, and a sense of balance in navigating challenging situations. She guides her clients to recognize and nurture their natural strengths and to develop strategies that are aligned with their sense of life meaning.
