Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Shelby Solomon is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. She received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology and has been assisting clients for over seven years. Dr. Solomon recognizes therapy is an uplifting, supportive, and sometimes challenging experience, and believes establishing trust, safety, and open communication is essential to the process. She works from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, which explores how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors often work in a cycle and can be difficult to break or re-shape, even when they are causing stress, anxiety, or sadness.

Through techniques and exercises worked on in and out of sessions, many clients are able to strengthen their awareness and find relief. Most importantly, Dr. Solomon supports working as a team in therapy and will check-in regarding your feelings towards treatment and progress.

Dr. Solomon is an ally to the LGBTQ+ communities, disabled communities, and BIPOC communities, and works with adults of all ages. She enjoys assisting clients who experience anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-and-stressor-related disorders, as well as stressors related to sexuality and gender identity, family acceptance, adjustment and life transitions, relationships, racism, education, work, and generational differences, caretaking, and socio-political disenfranchisement.
